  • What a New Year!

First off Mary Jane died. For those of you that actually know me and are familiar with the car that I drive, she is no more. MJ almost got me home from work after the club New Year's party. MJ died at the first stop light as you come in to town. Due to VW not sending the parts and guys out sick, my friend didn't get to MJ until the 13th of January. MJ has an interference engine, so when the timing belt tensioner snapped in half, pistons rammed into valves. It was either get a new engine or a new car. I opted for the new car. It is a used car, '08. I call him Dr. Mallard. As some of you know, I am a huge NCIS fan. I chose Dr. Mallard so I can call him "Ducky". Which is fitting because he is bright yellow like a rubber ducky. Ducky has basically wiped me out.

As for my spine, in my last post I said that every muscle was out, I meant that every bone in my pelvis and spine is out of alignment and some are rotated as well. I didn't have a natural curve in my neck anymore. there was a reverse curve and most of it was straight. We are working on it and it is coming along well. All my ligaments are loose now, so the bones are wanting to shift more than normal. This causes more vertigo. The vertigo is mild and doesn't last long. In a few weeks I should be much better. I can tell a difference, I am getting better.

As for the girlfriend, things are going great.

  • light at the end of the tunnel

Well, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. As some of you know, I have been suffering from vertigo. I self diagnosed and self treated for the past 4 to 5 monthes.  I haven't had an episode in 2 monthes now. I went to a chiropractor last week and went back for the results this week.

Apparently I sustained whiplash sometime around 10 years ago and didn't realize it. Also due to getting in and out of cars all the time, certain muscles are stronger than others and has messed me up. Every muscle in my pelvis and spine is out of alignment, tilted or rotated to some degree. I also have extra bone on C-1, the atlas. There is an artery going through this extra protrusion. With everything out of alignment and the muscles tight, it restricts the blood flow through that artery and that is what is causing my vertigo. Due to the holiday season and the fact that I will be out of town for about a week, I start treatments right after the new year.

After she fixes me and I do the exercises and stretches, I should be fine and not have anymore problems.

  • I'm still alive.

It has been a while since I have been on here. Work has been hectic. The other guy will get himself fired soon if he doesn't straighten up. It doesn't really affect me right now, but it might mean more hours for me if he does get fired.

As for the personal life, brace yourself.... Fog has a girlfriend. Yeah, I know. It blows my mind too. Who would have thought. She is the same age as I am. She has two daughters. Yes you heard me correctly, two daughters. One that is almost 17 and the other is almost 14. I get along great with the daughters. They love comics justs like me. We have a lot in common and always have a good time together. It has been a month and a half. Yeah, I know. I can't believe it myself. Usually after 3 weeks they dump me for being too nice. After her husband, she wants a nice guy. It is working out and going great right now.

Let's see, I covered work and personal. That leaves health. About a year ago I started working out again. That was squashed in the beginning of January when I had a rib pop out of place from an old injury. Then as that was getting better in April, I ran into a spell of kidney stones. I am now up to 18 of those bad boys. Then there was the ladder incident in June and that messed up my knees. Oh, and I can't forget the vertigo. It really was getting bad for a few monthes there. No I didn't go to the doctor. I don't really have one. I researched it myself and have been treating it myself. I have it under control and haven't had a spell in a month. My shortterm treatment plan and longterm plan have been working. I am almost back to 100%.

I think that covers everything that has happened to me since the last time I was on here. I will try to get on here weekly like I use to. Shoot, I was on here daily for the longest of times. I can't believe I have had people friend me in the monthes that I wasn't on here and did nothing. It is good to be back.
